According to sources, Maharashtra BJP was told to cancel Swamy's programme.
Confirming the development, Mumbai BJP president Ashish Shelar said that the state BJP took decision to cancel Subramanian Swamy's programme in Mumbai on Sunday due to some emergency.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also disapproved of party MP Subramanian Swamy's attacks on Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan and some top finance ministry officials and termed them as "inappropriate".
Calling Rajan "no less patriotic", he virtually ticked off Swamy saying "if anybody considers himself above the system then it is wrong".
