The controversy-hit All India Congress Committee is meeting on Tuesday in the capital to mark 125 years of the party.

New Delhi: The controversy-hit All India Congress Committee is meeting on Tuesday in the capital to mark 125 years of the party.

But in the backdrop of the Adarsh Society scam, the celebratory mood seems to be missing as far as the Congress is concerned. Maharashtra Chief Minister Chavan is very much going to be a part of this AICC session but his fate hangs in balance.

The Congress party would be debating on who really should succeed Chavan. Congress seems to have a strategy in place.

Meanwhile, the Cong issued gag order on the Maharashtra leaders.

Defence Minister and AK Antony and Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee have started working to probe the scam and on all probability, decision will be taken after US President Barack Obama’s visit. Involvement of Opposition BJP-Shiv Sena will also be probed.
