131. Betul is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Betul (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Betul falls in Betul district and Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,33,506 voters in the seat, which includes 1,20,390 male voters, and 1,13,098 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Betul recorded a voter turnout of 79.67%. In 2013 the turnout was 75.64%, and in 2008 it was 72.85%.
In 2013, Hemant Vijay Khandelwal of BJP won the seat by a margin of 24,347 votes (15.51%). Hemant Vijay Khandelwal secured 52.83% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 5,391 votes (4.49%), registering 48.29% of the total votes polled.
