BJP planning Yeddy-made govt in Karnataka: Cong
The race for the state's top post seemed to have narrowed down to Gowda and Shettar.

New Delhi: As BJP leadership grappled with the BS Yeddyurappa succession issue, the Congress on Tuesday took a dig at it saying the party was planning to bring a "Yeddy-made government" in Karnataka to placate the outgoing Chief Minister.

"He (Yeddyurappa) is trying for a Yeddy-made government. We have to wait and watch what this party with a difference is going to do with this Yeddy-made government," party spokesperson Shakeel Ahmed told reporters.

His remarks came in the backdrop of the race for Karnataka Chief Minister's post hotting up on Tuesday on the eve ofBJP legislature party meeting with] DV Sadananda Gowda and Jagadish Shettar being propped up by rival camps.

The race for the state's top post seemed to have narrowed down to Gowda and Shettar who are backed by the rival camp led by party national general secretary HN Ananth Kumar and state BJP Chief KS Eshwarappa.

Ahmed said Sushama Swaraj had said it was Arun Jaitley who was party incharge of Karnataka when Reddy brothers- K Karunakara and K Janardhana - were made ministers in Karnataka government adding "right now the allegations are being levelled even within BJP".

Ahmed said BJP was disrupting the Houses as it did not want a discussion fearing the "skeletons" in its cupboard will tumble out if the issues are discussed.

He steered clear of the charge that the PMO has been indicted by the CAG in its report on the Commonwealth Games.

"Let the government come out with its response, then we will be able to respond. The report is yet not official and has not been laid on the table of the House" he said.
