CBI completes probe against Jagan Mohan
Jagan has been in a Hyderabad jail since May 2012 in connection with the disproportionate assets cases.

Hyderabad: In a major breather for jailed YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the CBI informed a special court that it has completed investigation in all the cases against him.

The CBI special court in Hyderabad posted the orders on his bail plea to September 23. The argument on his bail application was completed on Wednesday.

Jagan has been in a Hyderabad jail since May 2012 in connection with the disproportionate assets cases. A Congress MLA Shankar Rao had filed a petition demanding a CBI probe into his assets in January 2011.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court had ordered a CBI probe, which was later upheld by the Supreme Court.

The CBI has filed 10 chargesheets against him and other co-accused in the cases. The SC had ordered the CBI to complete investigations by September.

Industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad, former AP minister Mopidevi Venkataramana and a few others are also in jail with him. The charge sheets name BCCI chairman and India cements promoter N Srinivasan, former ministers Sabita Indra Reddy, Darmana Prasada Rao and a current AP minister Geetha Reddy in the case.

Jagan's party is hoping that the completion of investigation makes him eligible for the bail. However the CBI is opposing his bail plea saying that a very influential man like Jagan can easily influence the witnesses and he can't be granted bail.

His family has already decided to approach the AP HC, if his bail plea is rejected by a special court.
