P Chidambaram wrote to West Bengal CM asking to take action against the violence.

New Delhi: Home Minister P Chidambaram on Friday wrote to West Bengal Government, expressing concern over increasing violence in the state.

In the letter, written to West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, Chidambaram asked the State Government to take action against Harmad Vahini, a group of CPM activists allegedly involved in violence in the trouble hit Midnapore area.

This came two days after Mamata in an interview on CNN-IBN lashed out at the Centre for not taking action on alleged CPM sponsored violence.
