New Delhi: Denouncing both Congress and BJP for handling the Ram Setu issue with a wrong approach, Samajwadi party supremo and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav alleged that everybody is handling Ram Setu issue with wrong approach.
He said while the Congress is misleading people through double standards, the BJP is encouraging communalism.
''Both Congress and BJP are handling the Ram Setu issue with a wrong approach. While BJP like always is using all its energy to spread communalism, Congress befooling the masses through double standards,'' PTI quoted Yadav as saying.
''No one can challenge the existence of Lord Ram, who is Maryada Purshottam. The ignoramus people challenging his existence are showcasing their deep knowledge of Indian culture,” he said.
Inveighing the ruling Mayawati led-BSP government in UP, Yadav alleged the law and order situation has worsened in her regime. Cases of murder, loot, dacoit and rape have risen considerably.
Accusing the state police of being hand-in-glove with the government officials, the Yadav said ''both are busy looting people.''
''SP wants to give people a state free of Bhay, Brashtachar, Anyaye and Atyachar (fear, corruption, injustice and atrocity),'' he asserted.
''I as a UP CM never worked with pet aversion. Sadly, Mayawati got 10,000 SP workers booked with an aforesaid malice,” he added.
