Jalandhar: Criticising BJP for rejecting the Election Commission's advice not to nominate Varun Gandhi as candidate in the Lok Sabha elections from Pilibhit, Dal Khalsa on Tuesday appealed to SAD to snap political ties with BJP.
Delivering a stern warning to Varun Gandhi for his alleged derogatory remarks against Sikhs, the party leaders H S Dhami, Satnam Singh Paonta Sahib and Kanwarpal Singh said in a statement here that Varun was spreading hate and venom in his bid to get Hindu votes.
“First Varun has targeted Muslims and now the Sikhs with a sole aim to polarize the voters,” the Dal leaders stated while warning Varun not to test the patience of minorities.
They hailed the Election Commission's for advising the BJP not to nominate Varun as its candidate in the Lok Sabha elections.
