New Delhi: The Congress has officially handed over letter of support for AAP to Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung. The BJP has already offered "constructive support to AAP".
However, AAP has not shown any signs of accepting the offer to form the government. Professor Yogendra Yadav, the main ideologue of the AAP, has made it clear that his party will not take support from both the parties.
AAP's defiance not to form the government has not gone well with the BJP. The party has hit out at AAP describing it as an escapist.
"AAP is a confused party, two days back AAP invited people from other parties. AAP will never be able to fulfill any promises it has made to public," said BJP's Delhi election in charge Nitin Gadkari.
He also said that AAP garnered public sentiment due to Anna's agitation.
"The AAP had made many promises including two major promises of reducing power tariff by 50% and providing free water up to 700 litres per day. If AAP is really serious about fulfilling these promises then it should go ahead and form a government and BJP will provide whatever cooperation is required. After all it has already celebrated its 'victory' at Jantar Mantar. Even Congress has clearly indicated that it will provide support to the AAP government. Then if it is really serious about fulfilling its promises, it should go ahead and do it," said the BJP in a press release.
"If they do not form the government then it clear that the AAP was never serious about fulfilling these promises which were made with lot of fanfare," said the party.
The BJP claims that AAP has made several promises in a hurry just to woo the voters and that it fears it will be exposed if it forms the government.
