New Delhi: It is a known fact that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is at odds with the Aam Aadmi Party government's scheme of rationing private four-wheelers. At least five BJP MPs defied the Odd-Even rule on Monday.
They came to Parliament house in even numbered cars on an odd day. The MPs who did not follow the Odd-Even rule are Paresh Rawal, Babulal, Prahlad Patel, Udit Raj and Ashwini Meena.
However, Meena is exempted from following the rule as he is a Z category security holder. Odd-Even rule does not exempt MPs when using private vehicles.
To help them beat the Odd-Even, Delhi government has introduced shuttle bus services exclusively for the MPs from North and South Avenue from Monday.
According to the Odd-Even rule in force in Delhi, only odd numbered cars are allowed on odd days and even numbered cars on even days.
The scheme which was first introduced by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in January 2016 has been once again brought in from April 15 to 30.
