New Delhi: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supreme Mayawati responding to the alleged involvement of BSP MPs in the human trafficking case said that “if found guilty, the MPs will not be spared.”
The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister said that she will not wait a minute to punish the three MPs involved in human trafficking however any action against them would only be taken on orders of the Supreme Court.
Mayawati accused the opposition for unnecessarily naming BSP MPs in the case. However, she quipped ''If found guilty, they will not be spared.''
''The opposition is jealous of the mushrooming popularity of BSP. Therefore, it is building castles in the air. But, I am least effected by all this. The crime of party MPs is not yet proved. Any action against them would only be taken on the directions of SC,'' the party chief was quoted by PTI.
Along with BJP ML BabuBhai Katara, names of three BSP MPs Mohd Tahir Khan (Sultanpur), Mitrasen Yadav and Ashok Rawat (Faizabad) have come to light in human trafficking case.
Meanwhile, Khan said ''I am innocent and have got nothing to do with the case. It is all the handiwork of Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and BJP.''
''I do not know Katara. I have not met him even once,'' he claimed.
The police is suspecting that Katara could not have done all this on his own. They are suspecting the involvement of some more people in the racket. The truth would probably come out only after sustained interrogation of Katara and subsequent arrests.
