Happy to be Targeted: Rahul on BJP's Agusta, CWG Allegations
Rahul is unlikely to reply when Somaiya rakes up the issue in Parliament.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is unfazed by allegations against him and his aide in the alleged AgustaWestland scam and the Commonwealth Games scam. When confronted by reporters outside Parliament, Rahul nonchalantly replied that he is "happy to be targeted".

His reaction came after Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kirit Somaiya alleged that the Congress vice president's close aide Kanishka Singh had links with AgustaWestland middleman Guido Haschke. He also claimed that Rahul, too, had links to a real estate developer allegedly involved in the CWG scam.

"I have released some documents. Rahul Gandhi and his family and friends might say that these are the allegations, but as you can see from these documents, Haschke is the director of Emaar MGF company. Emaar MGF is a joint venture. MGF belongs to Rahul's close person Kanishka's family. That company had been benefited in CWG scam," Somaiya claimed.

"That issue was raised by me in 2010. In 2010, I disclosed the Rs 763-crore benefit. Now, Haschke is found involved in this also and also in the helicopter scam. We want to know what are the factors," he added.

Somaiya is set to bring up the issue in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. However, Rahul is unlikely to reply when Somaiya rakes up the issue in Parliament.

The BJP MP has written to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seeking a probe into Singh’s alleged links with Haschke. But Kanishka rejected the allegations calling it entirely baseless, false and made with an ulterior political motive.
