Daulatpur (Uttar Pradesh): Mulayam Singh Yadav seems to have a sudden affinity with the English language.
"Chandrababu Naidu asked me to speak in English and I have started doing so as of today," the Samajwadi Party supremo and former UP chief minister known to be an English basher told a gathering in this village of Barabanki district.
Naidu, on his part, spoke in Hindi albeit from a prepared text.
Yadav was speaking at a function after Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan laid the foundation stone for a girls' college dedicated to his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
"We are all united here," he said, referring to N Chandrababu Naidu, Om Prakash Chautala and Farooq Abdullah – ex-chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir who are part of United National Progressive Alliance.
