New Delhi: There is more trouble for the Indian Premier League (IPL). After different state government expressed their unwillingness to spare police personnel for security duties during the Twenty20 cricket championship due to General Elections, Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswami, too, said he needs more security forces to conduct elections.
"About IPL we don't want to say anything. We are not concerned at all. As compared to 2004, the availability is less but at the same time the deployment in the field is more as compared to 2004. After we have taken review at some places we think additional force might be required," Gopalaswami said in new Delhi.
Meanwhile the confusion over IPL dates hasn't ended.
Union Home Ministry has written to the Deccan Chargers saying the Andhra Pradesh Police can provide security for IPL only from April 26, which is three days after the Lok Sabha elections in the state get over on April 23.
In the schedule submitted by IPL, three matches in Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam were to take place before April 26.

Earlier, on Saturday TV broadcaster Sony took IPL organisers of to court and got an injunction to stop the league from discussing telecast rights with other channels.
The injunction order was given to IPL on Saturday night. The Bombay High Court will hear the case on Monday.
The IPL schedule has been in jeopardy and the cumbersome process of re-working the dates in a bid to salvage the high profile Twenty20 cricket event have been on for over a month.
