Patna: The ruling Janata Dal United (JDU) on Saturday denied ticket to three sitting MLAs for the upcoming Assembly elections in Bihar.

The party denied ticket to Hilsa MLA Usha Sinha and Raghopur MLA Satish Kumar. Angered by the decision of the party, Kumar decided to join rival Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Assembly election ticket was also denied by the JDU to Tarapur MLA Neeta Chaudhary. However, her husband Mewalal Chaudhary was given a ticket to contest the polls.

Meanwhile, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) decided that Lalu Prasad Yadav's son Tejashwi Yadav would contest election from Raghopur Assembly constituency. Both Lalu as well as former chief minister Rabri Devi have represented the Assembly seat.

The RJD denied poll ticket to Mohiuddin Nagar MLA Ajay Kumar Bulganin, who said he had been betrayed. The sitting RJD MLA is likely to contest as an independent or from Pappu Yadav's Jan Adhikar Party.
