Naveen Patnaik to skip Modi's swearing-in ceremony

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will not attend Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony due to state Assembly Speaker election on Monday.

Odisha Finance Minister Pradip Amat will instead represent Patnaik at the ceremony.

While deciding to adopt a positive approach towards the BJP-led NDA government to be headed by Modi, the BJD has said that it would continue to maintain equi-distance from both BJP and Congress.
