'Not Right To Cast Evil Eye On My Remaining Hair': TMC's Kunal Ghosh Gives Hilarious Reply to BJP Leader
A video of BJP leader Papiya Adhikari has gone viral in which she is purportedly threatening to attack Trinamool Congress spokesperson Kunal Ghosh

Political barbs and mudslinging aside, senior Trinamool Congress leader Kunal Ghosh breathed some humour into his response to a BJP leader’s alleged threat to “pull his hair”.

He said it is not right to “cast an evil eye” on the remaining strands of hair on his head and, in fact, asked BJP leader Papiya Adhikari to suggest some medicine that will help with hair growth.

A video of Adhikari has gone viral in which she is purportedly threatening to attack Ghosh. “We’ll displace you, grab you by the remaining hair you have on your head… don’t you dare say anything today, the women are out on the streets… Don’t you dare talk too much because those who are making you say things will not have your back, only those who are out on the streets can be your saviours…” she is heard saying, in her “message” to him.

The BJP leader also mentioned how Ghosh was in jail, in an indirect reference to the Saradha scam case in which he was arrested.

Ghosh, a spokesperson for the Trinamool Congress (TMC), posted the video and later wrote about it on X. Going on the offensive but in a lighthearted vein, he said he has already lost a lot of his hair and it will be unfair to target the strands that remain.

“Papiya Adhikari, a former actress, once in the CPM and later probably in the BJP, has publicly threatened to slap me, pull my hair. I have lost my hair. It is not right to cast an evil eye on them. Instead, suggest medicines that may help hair growth,” he wrote in Bangla on X, adding that she can enjoy all the publicity while it lasts with her statements.

He also defended his jail term saying he is not guilty and is already fighting a legal battle.

Ghosh has been at the forefront with the Trinamool’s viewpoint throughout the RG Kar rape-murder case. This has led him to being at the receiving end of much of the backlash that the Mamata Banerjee-led government is facing from the public and political opposition.
