After getting a clean chit in former Indian Premier League chief Lalit Modi row, Raje was in the national capital to attend the crucial meeting.

New Delhi: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Saturday afternoon denied media reports of being denied an appointment by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah.

A statement issued by her office said, "Some channels continue to run false news. Request media to kindly cross check facts. CM was in Delhi solely for the Niti Aayog meeting. Later she returned to Jaipur for there were no prior appointments."

Sources had said the Chief Minister was denied an appointment by Modi becuase the party didn't want to drag the Prime Minister into the controversy.

After getting a clean chit in former Indian Premier League chief Lalit Modi row, Raje was in the national capital to attend the crucial meeting.

Sources said that the Centre on Friday reviewed documents submitted by Raje and found no irregularities in them. No wrong doing has been found in deals between Dushyant Singh's Niyant Heritage and Lalit Modi's Ananda Heritage, the sources added.

Earlier on Friday, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah to discuss the issue.

The Rajasthan unit of the BJP also came out in open support for the embattled Chief Minister who herself rubbished reports about a signature campaign by her to demonstrate backing of 120 MLAs.
