New Delhi: Jaswant Singh's ouster from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems to have softened rebellious former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje.
Raje, who is Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly, has come to Delhi meet the party leadership.
Sources have told CNN-IBN that on Thursday, LK Advani asked Raje to come to Delhi and submit her resignation as Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan Assembly.
BJP President Rajnath Singh has already asked Raje to put in her papers but the Jhalrapatan MLA has so far refused to blink under any kind of pressure.
CNN-IBN has learnt that she is coming armed with letters of support of 58 MLA's and four MP's from Rajasthan, all expressing their faith in her leadership.
While the letters of support may not be good enough for her to avoid resigning, she is hoping to use the letters to bargain a better deal for herself in future.
She wants a person of her choice to replace her in the Rajasthan Assembly and a clear commitment on when she would be able to return to state politics.
Both demands are not acceptable so far either to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh or to BJP President Rajnath Singh.
Raje will be meeting both Advani and Rajnath in Delhi.
