Bangalore: Senior Congress leader and MP Mani Shankar Aiyar said that Tehelka founder Tarun Tejpal must face the law. Speaking to mediapersons in Bangalore, he said: "It really is awful that such distinguished a journalist as Tarun Tejpal should have allowed himself to indulge in such a criminal act because it seems to be that in terms of presenting the law, whatever he did or attempted to do constitutes violation of criminal law. Therefore he'll have to be proceeded against. He will be given the opportunity in the Indian justice system to defend himself."
Reacting to the allegation leveled against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) after a sting operation by a Delhi based media professional, he said: "I fear that the whole episode is going to damage their prospects in Delhi and therefore damage their credability in other parts of the country. So, I don't know if the baby is still born or if it will flourish."
