148. Shamshabad is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Sagar Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Shamshabad falls in Vidisha district and Malwa North region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 1,75,311 voters in the seat, which includes 93,504 male voters, and 81,805 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Shamshabad recorded a voter turnout of 75.01%. In 2013 the turnout was 72.99%, and in 2008 it was 69.46%.
