The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK)-led INDIA bloc swept the Tamil Nadu Lok Sabha Elections 2024, winning all 39 seats in the southern state. While the DMK won 22 seats, the Congress won nine. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) could not open its account in the state while the AIADMK failed to win a single seat.
In Coimbatore, BJP state president K Annamalai lost to DMK’s Ganapathy Rajkumar. In South Chennai, BJP’s Tamilisai Soundararajan lost to DMK’s Tamizachi Thangapandian.
Tamil Nadu witnessed a three-way race between the BJP-led NDA, the AIADMK and the INDIA bloc comprising the DMK, Congress and other parties.
