New Delhi: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) on Thursday extended their support to the satyagraha of Baba Ramdev against corruption and black money.

“We feel it will help eliminate corrupt systems of our country. We support the whole movement meant for the national interest and will take part in it. We hope the proposed satyagraha takes the shape of a revolution throughout the country,” said the State General Secretary of the VHP-Delhi after the state level meeting of its office bearers in Delhi.

"To check the growing menace of corruption and avoid any future problem of the country, the Government should accept the demands raised by the Yog guru without any futher delay," he added.

The BJP, earlier, came out in support of Baba Ramdev's campaign against black money and said the Centre's "reluctance" to release the names of those persons whose unaccounted wealth is stashed in foreign banks is due to "apprehension of loss of face for it".

"Black money should be given to the poor people. We are with Ramdev in this fight," said BJP President Nitin Gadkari.

"We have already written a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh demanding a list of names whose black money is stashed in foreign banks and we support Baba Ramdev's campaign on this count", Gadkari told newspersons after inaugurating an

exhibition of 100 "scams" of Uttar Pradesh government at the venue of the party national working committee in Lucknow.

The BJP president said "the reluctance shown by the central government for release of names of those whose wealth lies abroad perhaps has emanated from the apprehension of loss of face for the central government".

On the two-day working committee meeting, Gadkari said a vision document on the party's "long-term plans for development and good administration for Uttar Pradesh by eradicating fear, hunger and corruption" would be presented.
