Bigg Boss Tamil 7 concluded on January 14, with Archana Ravichandran emerging as the winner, creating history as the first wildcard contestant to claim the trophy in the Tamil version of the reality show. Amidst the excitement of the season’s culmination, the voice behind Bigg Boss, the narrator who delivered daily updates with a crisp and impactful tone, has come into the spotlight. This voice belongs to Tamil actor Satiiysh Saarathy Sasho.
Sasho has been the authoritative and commanding voice guiding the contestants through their daily routines and tasks in the Bigg Boss Tamil house since day one. His deep and resonant voice, coupled with clear pronunciations, has made his instructions both commanding and easily understandable for both contestants and viewers alike.
Reports suggest that Sasho received a remuneration of Rs 17.5 lakh for his role in Season 5 of Bigg Boss Tamil. If we break this down, it implies that Sasho earned up to Rs 5 lakh per month for the three-month duration of the show.
Beyond his role as the voiceover artist for Bigg Boss Tamil, Sasho is also a talented actor. He has showcased his acting prowess in notable films such as Manjunath, BA Pass 2, Kahanibaaz, and a short film titled Slow Rivers. His performance in the debut movie Manjunath garnered praise for its realism and authenticity. In the film, Sasho portrayed the character of the late Indian Oil Corporation executive, Manjunath Shanmugam, who was tragically killed by the oil mafia in 2005 due to his stand against fuel adulteration.
Reflecting on his approach to portraying Manjunath, Sasho shared insights in a previous interview with Tellychakkar. He mentioned, “When we started shooting, we didn’t have any reference points for Manjunath. We only had his family and friends to give us an indication of what Manjunath was like. We did three months of rehearsals to create the character’s reality. Director Sandeep Varma made me abandon all my flamboyant ideas of acting.”
Sasho expressed gratitude for the support and guidance he received from industry stalwarts during the project, stating, “Seemaji and Yashpal Sir helped me a lot in getting the rhythm right. Sandeep Sir (my director) instructed me to hold my own before these acting giants. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous sharing the screen with such stalwarts.”
This dual talent of being a commanding voice and a skilled actor has undoubtedly contributed to Sasho’s success in the entertainment industry.
