Kamal Haasan and Lokesh Kanagaraj, the dynamic duo behind the successful film Vikram, have partnered once again, this time for a music video. The video, for a song entitled Inimel, has been both composed and conceptualised by Shruti Haasan, with lyrics by Kamal Haasan. In it, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Shruti Haasan take on the leading roles, portraying the emotional rollercoaster of a modern-day romance.
Inimel has been produced by Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran under the banner of Raajkamal Films International and directed by Dwarkesh Prabakar. The project features the talents of cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, musician Yanchan and editor Philomin Raj among its technical team.
The music video for Inimel was launched to the public at a grand event in Chennai, with the lead pair, Lokesh and Shruti, in attendance. The song, adorned with Shruti Haasan’s charm, enriched by her father Kamal Haasan’s impactful lyrics, delves into the journey of two individuals navigating the complexities of love, from their first meeting via a dating app to imagining a future together. Despite fantasising about the stages of living together, marriage and even a possible divorce during a movie date, they ultimately choose to be with each other. With its contemporary romantic tune, fans are of the opinion that Lokesh Kanagaraj has done quite a good job in the music video. Check out the song video right here:
On the work front, Lokesh Kanagaraj recently made a cameo appearance in Singapore Saloon and is set to star with superstar Rajinikanth in the eagerly awaited Thalaivar 171. Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan is also keeping busy with several projects in her kitty. She is the lead in the cross-cultural rom-com Chennai Story, is starring alongside Adivi Sesh in the Hindi-Telugu bilingual Dacoit and will also star in the upcoming Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam, scheduled for release next year.
