Tamil Nadu’s Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) party leader and actor Vijayakanth passed away on December 28 at the age of 71. The party announced that he had been diagnosed with Covid-19 and was experiencing respiratory difficulties. The final rites took place on December 29 evening at the party’s headquarters in Chennai.
