5 New Products Apple Is Expected To Launch In 2024: Vision Pro Headset, OLED iPad Pro, And More
Apple is expected to go big when it comes to product launches next year. Here are five products that could potentially debut in 2024.

When it comes to hardware launches, Apple had a quiet year compared to some recent years. This year, we didn’t see the Cupertino-based tech giant release any new iPads, and the M3 generation of chipsets still hasn’t made its way to the more affordable MacBook Air lineup. But that doesn’t mean that Apple is going to sit on its hands in 2024.

In fact, we already have a pretty good idea of some of the most anticipated launches that we might see. Here, let’s talk about the five new products that Apple might bring for users:

Apple Vision Pro Mixed Reality Headset

The Vision Pro headset was announced in June at Apple’s WWDC 2023, and the tech community has since been buzzing about mixed reality and how Apple’s entry could reshape the industry. Industry experts have suggested that the Vision Pro could launch in January or early February. Apple has already said that the headset will cost $3,499, but it will only be available in the US at first.

New iPad Pro With OLED Display

A bunch of experts, including Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Ming-Chi Kuo, have said that there might be an OLED model of the iPad Pro, which would be a step up from the LCD and mini LED panels on the current M2-powered lineup. It’s worth noting that Apple didn’t update any of its iPads in 2023, so it’s definitely time for a refresh. Also, the iPad Pro models are expected to switch to M3 chipsets from the outgoing M2 chipsets.

MacBook Air with M3 Chipset

Earlier this year in October, Apple released its M3-powered MacBook Pro lineup, but the MacBook Air was a no-show. However, this could change in 2023 when Apple updates its most affordable laptop with the latest M3 chip.

iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro

In 2023, Apple made a bunch of changes to the iPhone 15 Pro and the regular iPhone 15 compared to the previous generation. These changes included switching to USB-C, Dynamic Island on the regular iPhone 15 models, and titanium for the iPhone 15 Pro models. Additionally, ProRes LOG video was added to the pro models. Next year, we might see Apple go with a bigger 6.3-inch OLED panel for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16, and the iPhone 16 Plus and Pro having a 6.9-inch panel. We might also see the new Action Button becoming a standard feature across the entire lineup.

AirPods Max With USB-C

Along with the iPhone 15 series, Apple also released a USB-C version of its popular AirPods Pro second generation. However, its most expensive pair, the AirPods Max, are still shipping with the old Lightning port. Reports suggest that Apple may make the switch to USB-C next year—bringing it in line with most of its lineup.
