Google forgets to update its official logo in Teachers' Day doodle

New Delhi: When Google announced its new and improved official logo, all its products were updated with the redesigned version.

However, it seems the search giant missed out on updating today’s Teachers’ Day doodle that erroneously shows the old logo.

Commemorating the birth anniversary of India’s first Vice President and second President, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, Google published an animated doodle on its India homepage.

The doodle that shows two hands (one of the mentor and the other of the student) together solving an equation, however, carries the older version of the official logo.

Google’s resigned logo is the company’s sixth logo since 1998 and spells 'Google' in a sans-serif typeface, similar to the one being used by Google's newly created holding company, Alphabet.

The compact version of the logo, used to identify most of its apps, bids farewell to the little blue ‘g’ icon and replaces it with a uppercase "G" colored in blue, red, yellow and green to match the full logo.

What's your reaction?
