New Delhi: After weeks of speculation, Google has finally confirmed that it has an event scheduled on September 29. There have already been rumours about the launch of new Nexus smartphones at the event and their specs, and now a new report comes out with some more leaked details.

According to a report from Android Police, the rumoured Huawei-made Nexus smartphone will be released in three storage variants - 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. If this happens, it would mark the launch of the first-ever Nexus smartphone in 128 GB. The last year's Motorola-made Nexus was made available in 32 GB and 64 GB options. The phone, however, is unlikely to come with a slot for microSD card.

Besides the Huawei-made Nexus, the search-engine giant is also expected to unveil a new LG-made Nexus smartphone, but there is no information as to what all storage options it would come in.

Sepcualtions are rife that the one made by Huawei would be a new version of the Nexus 6 and will come with a fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C, while the LG-made Nexus smartphone could possibly be called Nexus 5 (2015) and is likely to feature a 5.2-inch display and a fingerprint scanner that rumours claim would rest beneath the protruding camera.

Both the smartphones are said to be the first set of smartphones running the newest Android M (Marshmallow) software.

The second generation Chromecast could also debut at the Google event later this month, showing off a range of new features. Part of the update affects the device's exterior, which will come in three colors and a different form.
