The digital fitness tracking band for the serious athletes has multi-sport tracking feature and social media integration.

New Delhi: Along with its latest HTC One M9 dual-tone smartphone, the company also rolled out its HTC Grip fitness band in collaboration with the Under Armour Record app for iOS and Android at the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The digital fitness tracking band for the serious athletes has multi-sport tracking feature and social media integration. It can track everyday workouts, monitor sleep activity, and also allow syncing and sharing of training activities on social networks.

Integrated with GPS, the HTC Grip can capture distance, pace, and calories burned, and syncs the data to your smartphone when you get back from your workout sessions. Now you no longer have to constantly check your smartphone while working out as the device controls your Android or iOS smartphone from your wrist.

Users can receive call notifications, view and respond to messages, or just skip to the next song.

Designed with keeping the workout sessions in mind, the fitness tracker has a contoured soft-touch band with a breathable material and an easy- to-read curved display. The device is also waterproof and can be used underwater up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.

The HTC Grip boasts of a 5-hour battery life in sport mode, which can last long enough for a marathon. It will be available in two colors- deep teal or lime, with a choice of three sizes.

The fitness tracking band will be available in the US in Spring this year and will be priced around $199.
