New Delhi: After its international debut, the Huawei Honor 7 is all set to be released in India at an event today.

The Honor 7 was launched in Huawei’s home country China earlier this year, followed by the European market two months ago. The smartphone’s USP is its fingerprint scanner which is located in the rear of the device that is claimed to take half a second to unlock the device or make payments.

The phone’s outer shell has been crafted with aluminium alloy and powered by a 2.2Ghz HiSilicon Kirin 935 64-bit octa-core processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM, the Honor 7 sports a 5.2-inch 1080p IPS LCD display offering 1920x1080 HD resolution.

The Android powered smartphone comes bundled with Huawei’s EMUI 3.1 custom skin. It further includes 16 GB or 64 GB of internal storage options that can be expanded via microSD card.

The Honor 7 features a 20 megapixel rear camera combined with an 8 megapixel front snapper. The phone is powered by a 3100mAh battery.

The 4G enabled Honor 7 supports dual SIM and is available in three colour variants. The phone is shipped in a special utility box that doubles up as a charging base.

The launch kick starts at 11 AM in New Delhi.
