New Delhi: China-based Meizu has launched its latest flagship smartphone - the Meizu Pro 6 - which is claimed to be the first smartphone with a 10-core or deca-core processor.
Adding to the host of Android devices launched this month, the Meizu stands out with its MediaTek Helio X25 deca-core processor that comes coupled with 4 GB of RAM.
The Meizu Pro 6 features a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with full HD resolution and measures 7.2mm thin. The phone takes on Apple iPhone with its metallic unibody design that features some of the smallest antenna lines compared to rivals.
Other than the antenna lines, Meizu Pro 6 borrows another element from Apple's hardware designing with its 3D Press - a feature first introduced in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. The technology allows user to interact with the device by applying force to the screen. This also reduces the number of taps or swipes required to execute functions.
The phone offers 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage choice and comes with a bumper 21 megapixel rear camera with custom lens and 10-LED flashlight.
Meizu Pro 6 features a USB Type-C and is 4G VoLTE compatible. Other features include a fingerprint sensor and dual-SIM support.
The phone comes powered with a 2,560mAh battery with mCharge 3.0 that Meizu claims takes the battery level from 0 to full in just an hour. Meizu Pro 6 is available in black, silver, or gold aluminum colour choices. It is priced at ¥2,499 for 32 GB variant (roughly translates to Rs 25,719) and ¥2,799 for 64 GB variant (Rs 28,807 approximately).
