Motorola is scheduled to host a launch event on March 25 where the unannounced Motorola Moto G100 is expected to debut. As per old leaks, the Moto G100 is said to be a rehashed version of Moto Edge S with Snapdragon 870 SoC that is already available to purchase in China. Ahead of the launch event, notable tipster Evan Blass has shared the alleged renders and specs of the Moto G100 on Voice, which corroborates previous rumours of the phone being the Moto Edge S in disguise. The renders show the same dual front camera setup inside independent cutouts and a quad rear camera system inside the square-shaped module. At the bottom, we can notice the USB Type-C port for charging between the 3.5mm headphones jack and speaker grille. Motorola’s mobile brand licensee Lenovo is yet to officially confirm the development of the Moto G100.

In the blog post, Blass adds that Moto G100 would feature a 6.7-inch screen and octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The onboard storage of 256GB is said to be expandable up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card slot. In terms of optics, the rumoured Motorola Moto G100 might feature a total of six cameras – two at the front and four at the back, as seen in the images. The front camera system will reportedly include a 16-megapixel primary sensor paired with an 8-megapixel shooter. At the back, we might see a 64-megapixel primary camera with a 16-megapixel secondary shooter, a 2-megapixel tertiary shooter, and a ToF sensor 3D imaging and enable augmented reality (AR) functionalities.

The tipster claims that the phone will start retailing globally next month and will retail alongside an HDMI cradle which endows it with a PC-like desktop experience when connected to a monitor and input peripherals. Its India availability details remain unclear, though Motorola recently introduced the Moto G30 and Moto G10 Power in the country.
