OnePlus has finally revealed its plans to bring Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to its OnePlus devices. While the company has not announced any specific dates as to when the rollout process will start, it has made it clear that the new software update for the OnePlus devices will be released early next year.

For the OnePlus One, Cyanogen OS will be updating to Marshmallow in the first quarter of 2016. "We created a community build of OxygenOS for the OnePlus One, but this isn't what the product officially ships with. We will be updating the community build of OxygenOS for the OnePlus One when time allows," says the company in a blog post.

The OnePlus 2 will also be updated in the first quarter of the next year, and the update will include the new standard Marshmallow API for the fingerprint sensor.

The company says to be working hard to bring Marshmallow as soon as possible to the OnePlus X. It will update users on a time frame at a later time.

In the meantime, the company will keep rolling out updates for OxygenOS.
