Reliance Retail to soon launch its own range of LYF 4G smartphones

Reliance Retail has announced that it will soon roll out its own LYF range of smartphones.

"LYF range of smartphones with superior features like Voice over LTE (VoLTE), Voice over WiFi (VoWiFI), HD Voice and HD quality video calling will enable users to experience a new digital life," Reliance Industries said in a press release.

The phones will be sold around the country via Reliance Retail's wide network of stores and also will be available via multi-brand outlets.

With its own brand of smartphones Reliance will be taking on other Indian smartphone brands such as Micromax and Lava along with international players such as Xiaomi and Samsung.

The launch of the 4G-enabled LYF phones is expected to coincide with the public availability of the Reliance Jio pan-India 4G network which is currently being tested and optimised.
