Samsung Galaxy A6, A6+ and Galaxy J6 with Infinity Display will launch in India today.

South Korean tech giant Samsung is expected to launch Galaxy A6, Galaxy A6+, Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J6 smartphones in India. Samsung has already sent out invites for a media event in Mumbai where it is launching these new phones. The tweet posted by the company confirms Samsung's signature 'Infinity display' on the upcoming Galaxy J6. The Infinity display was first introduced by Samsung on its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8 and has now found its way to the more budgeted options by the company. The Galaxy J6 and the A-series smartphone are expected to be mid-range devices by the company.

Samsung Galaxy J6 Expected Specifications:

As per online reports, the Galaxy J6 is expected to sport a 5.6-inch HD+ AMOLED Infinity display with a 1480x720 pixels resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It might be powered by Exynos 7870 SoC and come in several RAM options including a 2GB, 3GB and a 4GB RAM. Similarly, the smartphone is expected to come in two storage variants including a 32GB options and a 64GB variant. The device might be backed by a 300 mAh battery and come with dual SIM support. The optics on the Galaxy J6 are anticipated to come with a 13-megapixel camera at the back and an 8-megapixel camera at the front for selfies.

The Galaxy J6 is expected to be priced around Rs 20,000 and might come with Samsung's native features like the S-bike mode, Samsung Pay Mini and Samsung Mall. Earlier reports had hinted at the launch of four new smartphones by Samsung with two each in the Galaxy A and the Galaxy J-series. Since the company has confirmed the launch of one of the Galaxy J-series device, it is expected to unveil the other smartphones as well. Nothing about the Galaxy A-series devices has been confirmed by Samsung as of now.

Samsung Galaxy A6 Specifications:

As for its specifications, the mid-range Galaxy smartphone will come with a 5.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with 1480x720 pixels resolution and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by an octa-core 1.8 GHz processor and will carry a 3GB RAM coupled to a 32GB internal storage, which is further expandable up to 256GB. The device will be backed by a 3000 mAh battery.

On the optics front, the Galaxy A6 sports a 16-megapixel camera on both the front as well as the back with a f/1.7 aperture.

Samsung Galaxy A6+ Specifications:

The Galaxy A6+ will come as a ramped up version of the Galaxy A6 with better firepower and a larger display. The Galaxy A6+ will spoocta-corech FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 2220x1080 pixels resolution and an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by an octa-Core 1.6 GHz processor and will come with a 4GB RAM and 32GB storage which will be expandable up to 400GB. The smartphone will draw its juice from a 3500 mAH battery.

As for its cameras, the Galaxy A6+ will sport a dual camera setup at the back with a 16-megapixel (f/1.7) primary and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with an aperture of f/1.9. At the front, the Galaxy A6+ will come with a 24-megapixel camera.

Though Samsung has not officially revealed the pricing of the smartphones, going by the earlier reports, the Galaxy A6 and the Galaxy A6+ are expected to be priced close to Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively in the Indian market as and when they make their way to the country.
