Samsung Galaxy Ring Is Here With Health Features And Promise Of One Week Battery Life
Samsung Galaxy Ring was unveiled in Paris at the Unpacked event this week and we finally know how much its costs and what features it has.

Samsung Galaxy Ring was unveiled earlier this year but we finally have the full version out in the public with more details about the device. The Galaxy Ring is the first product in this segment from the mainstream which promises a week’s battery life, making it better than most smartwatches that you can buy today. We have seen brands like Ultrahuman, Oura and even Indian names like Noise and Boat enter this segment. But when Samsung launches a product in this category, you know the focus of the industry will slowly move in this direction.

Samsung Galaxy Ring Price And India Launch Details

Samsung Galaxy Ring is launching at $399 (Rs 33,100 approx) and it is now available for pre-order in select markets. The sale of the Galaxy Ring starts from July 24. Samsung Galaxy Ring India launch details unknown for now and going by the steep price tag, we don’t expect the wearable device to launch in the country anytime soon.

Samsung Galaxy Ring Features – The Ideal Smartwatch Alternative?

The Galaxy Ring comes in three colours, all of them made with titanium which means the gadget takes care of the durability. Having said that, it weighs up to just 3 grams which ensures you will never feel its weight on the fingers, especially while sleeping. It comes with a 10 ATM water resistance rating and promises battery life of up to 7 days. You get a charging case in which the Ring sits for charging rather than a dock or a socket.

Now, coming to the support part of the Galaxy Ring. Do you need a Samsung phone to use the device or will it work with others also? The good news is that you can pair it with a non-Galaxy Android phone, but there is no support for iOS. If you use it with a Galaxy phone, the number of features you get are higher than with a non-Galaxy phone.

The Ring is there to help you track sleep, monitor your heart rate 24×7 and other tracking features around fitness. You have built-in storage for the data recorded and the IP68 rating allows you to use it when wet conditions as well.
