As Samsung gears up for the upcoming launch of its Galaxy S25 series, leaks about the device have already started circulating online. Among the latest information is a leak concerning the camera specifications of the S25 lineup. Surprisingly, it appears that the company may not be introducing any major upgrades to the cameras.
According to reports, the basic model of the S25 will feature a main camera with a 50MP sensor, maintaining the same resolution seen in the previous three generations, S22, S23, and S24. Additionally, the resolution of the front camera, which was 12MP , is expected to remain unchanged.
While the megapixel count of both the front and rear cameras remains untouched in the base model, Samsung enthusiasts can expect some improvements in their ultra-wide angle and telephoto cameras. However, there has been no confirmation about these changes yet. Initially, there were rumours that the upcoming phone might feature only three cameras. However, it was later reported that the S25 will indeed come with four camera sensors.
On the other hand, as per Galaxy Club, the Samsung S25 Ultra is rumoured to receive major camera upgrades, including a quad rear camera setup. This setup is said to feature a 200MP main camera, a 50MP sensor with 5x optical zoom, a 50MP ultra wide angle sensor along with a 50MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom.
When Samsung launched the Galaxy S22, the company faced criticism for reducing the battery capacity to 3700 mAh, while its predecessors, the S20 and S21 were running on 4000 mAh. Fortunately, with the launch of S23, Samsung improved the battery to 3900 mAh and S24 had 4000 mAh capacity. Now, with the upcoming launch of the S25, the company is expected to stick with a 4000 mAh battery. Reportedly, the particular model could have a 6.36 inch display and will be powered by the Exynos 2500 chipset.
While Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S25 series in January 2025, the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10 is likely to witness the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 models and the debut of the Galaxy Ring.
