New Delhi: Catering to the new segment of smartphone consumers- the increasingly tech savvy children- Swipe has launched an Android smartphone that has been especially designed for kids up to 15 years of age.

Touted as India’s first smartphone for kids, the Swipe Junior, has been designed with a shock proof body with food grade material that makes it water and drop proof.

The smartphone carries a 4.5-inch IPS display and is powered by a 1.3GHz dual core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM and 4 GB internal storage. The kid-friendly phone further includes 2 megapixel rear camera and 0.3 megapixel front snapper.

One of the distinguishing factors of Swipe Junior is that it comes with host of child-centric apps including emergency dialing facility, one step SOS alert, app management system, Geo tracking and Geo fencing for better parental control.

Although the phone runs Android KitKat, it is layered with custom UI for kids for easy navigation and more user friendliness.

The phone draws its juice from a 1900 mAh battery and is available in two bright colour choices- Blue and Pink.

Swipe Junior is available online at Rs 5,999.
