New Delhi: Instant messaging service WhatsApp has introduced a couple of new features to its iOS and Android mobile version.
A ‘rich preview’ will be added to all the URLs you share over WhatsApp conversation. You also have an option to remove the preview before sharing the URL.
With the updated version, all the starred messages will be stored in one place. You can now find all the starred messages in Settings > Starred Messages in iOS and in the Chats tab > Menu > Starred Messages for Android.
For the iOS version, the app has been improved to match the new 3D Touch feature introduced with the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. With the added functionality, you can now peek into a chat and pop out instantly without having to open the chat. The WhatsApp for iOS version 2.12.11 also sports a redesigned Settings tab.
The updated version 2.12.367 for Android now supports Android direct share, which lets you quickly choose a specific chat when sharing content from other apps. This feature is available for devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
