Anupamaa is a beloved television drama that has found a permanent place in the hearts of viewers. The show has experienced the departure of several actors, including Paras Kalnawat, Muskan Bamne, Sagar Parekh, and Anagha Bhosale, for various reasons. Nidhi Shah, who plays the role of Kinjal, initially contemplated stepping away from her character due to reservations about portraying a mother at a young age. However, she ultimately decided to stay and is now skillfully portraying the role of a mother to a five-year-old in the show.
Previously, in an interview, Nidhi Shah expressed uncertainty about her future with the show, citing her youthful age as a factor that made her hesitant to take on the role of a mother on screen. She didn’t expect a pregnancy track to be introduced so soon. She found herself grappling with the emotional and mental preparedness required for such a significant role. Despite these initial reservations, she ultimately chose to place her trust in the makers of the show and continue with the unfolding storyline.
In the same interview, she elaborated on her thoughts about leaving the show. She expressed gratitude to the makers for the opportunity to portray Kinjal but highlighted her belief in the necessity for personal growth as an actor. Nidhi emphasised that regardless of how wonderful a character is, there comes a time when one must evolve. She conveyed her openness to considering exciting projects in the future, trusting that the makers will understand her decision.
In the upcoming episodes of Anupamaa, viewers can anticipate a compelling twist as Kinjal (played by Nidhi Shah) makes a heartfelt request to Anupama (played by Rupali Ganguly) to move in with Pari. However, Anupama declines the request, being aware of Toshu’s potential disapproval.
Nidhi Shah marked her acting debut as a child artist in the 2011 web series That’s So Awesome. Following that, she played brief roles in the 2013 Hindi films Mere Dad Ki Maruti and Phata Poster Nikhla Hero. Her television journey began in 2016 when she made her debut with Jaana Na Dil Se Door, portraying the character of Shweta Kashyap. However, it was her role as Kinjal Dave Shah, alongside Ashish Mehrotra, in Anupamaa that brought her widespread recognition and fame.
