Pavitrra Punia, who began her acting career on TV and gained fame through reality shows like MTV Splitsvilla 3 and Bigg Boss 14, recently shared her struggles after leaving the Bigg Boss house. In an interview with ETimes, she talked about facing financial challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic due to delayed payments. The situation got tougher post-Bigg Boss as she found it hard to secure work in the entertainment industry. Pavitrra described this period as the darkest in her life, revealing that she exhausted all the earnings she made from Bigg Boss.
She spoke about the importance of taking responsibility and said, “It’s not about being wealthy, but rather about accountability. For example, if I’m in a hospital, I wouldn’t ask my mother for her credit or debit card. It’s a child’s responsibility.”
Pavitrra Punia faced more challenges as her father had an accident about a month after she left the Bigg Boss house. The next one and a half years were tough, leading to struggles and depression, even to the extent of contemplating suicide, as per ETimes. Pavitrra credited her family’s unwavering support for helping her overcome this dark phase in her life.
In order to start the year with a positive attitude, the actress took a spiritual tour of Vaishno Devi and sought the goddess’ blessings. Pavitra Punia had earlier told ETimes that she is a “very religious person” and a staunch believer in Goddess Durga. She added, “I started my New Year with divine blessings and what better way to start it with Maa Vaishno Devi, the mother of all. To be able to spend it with her and to give in to all that she is will always be the way I would have wanted to end a year and start a new one. In complete surrender. Whatever will happen is for the good and what went by, happened for the best.”
