A few weeks ago, fans of Mohsin Khan were surprised when the actor revealed in an interview that he had experienced a mild heart attack in 2023 due to a fatty liver. He mentioned being hospitalised but assured that he was fine. However, Mohsin has since clarified that he actually suffered from a gastritis attack, not a heart attack. He described the earlier statement as a “grammatical error” on his part.
Issuing a clarification on his previous statements, Mohsin Khan told ETimes, “It was an innocent grammatical error, which created this confusion. I wanted to say, ‘I thought I had a mild heart attack,’ but in the flow of the conversation, I said, ‘I think I had a mild heart attack,’ and that caused all the confusion.” Sharing details of what actually happened to him, Mohsin shared, in December of last year, he experienced a gastritis attack, which can trigger abdominal and chest pain similar to a heart attack.
Mohsin Khan explained why he took some time to address the error regarding his health. He noted that while his past video interview covered various aspects of his professional and personal life, the brief mention of his health incident went viral. Mohsin remarked, “Unfortunately, the conversation around health went viral, which actually lasted for just two minutes in a one-hour-long video. And the ‘heart attack’ but got splashed all over the net. So, I thought I should wait for a few days and let the hype die down because I didn’t want any more confusion.”
He added that while his close friends and family were aware of the situation, he felt it was his responsibility to update all his fans about what actually happened and to reassure them. Mohsin expressed, “I have received so much love and support in the past few days; I am overwhelmed and truly grateful.”
Back in August, Mohsin, in an interview with Pinkvilla said, “I developed a fatty liver, and last year, I had a mild heart attack, but I didn’t tell anyone. It had become quite serious. I was hospitalised for a while, and we switched between 2-3 hospitals for treatment.”
