We’ve all marvelled at the daring stunts on shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi, where celebrities perform seemingly perilous acts under the watchful eyes of seasoned stunt experts. Similar to that, a recent video of an American stuntman has taken the internet by storm, showcasing a terrifying jump from a plane without a parachute.
The stuntman in question is Travis, who executed this jaw-dropping feat back in 2008, though the clip has recently resurfaced online. Sponsored by the energy drink Red Bull, Travis embarked on this death-defying endeavour, accompanied by two individuals equipped with parachutes for support. While his supporters soared safely with parachutes, Travis leapt out of the plane without any safety gear, relying entirely on the precision of his team.
In the heart-stopping video shared on the Instagram page Intels, Travis is seen jumping from a single-engine Cessna at 12,500 feet over Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Clad only in sunglasses, socks, and surf trunks, with a can of Red Bull in hand, Travis depended on his team to secure his safety mid-air. One supporter caught him in the air, while the other ensured a safe landing on the ground.

The caption on the Instagram post shows the gravity of the moment, describing Travis’s plunge as a testament to trust and skill. The video quickly went viral, leaving viewers in awe of the audacity displayed.
User comments flooded in, with one individual urging others to experience tandem skydiving, describing it as “mind-blowingly awesome.”
However, the inherent danger of such stunts was underscored by a recent tragic incident involving a highly experienced skydiver. The skilled parachutist, Ivan McGuire, forgot to equip himself with a parachute during a jump. Despite having completed over 800 successful leaps in the past, McGuire, tragically, recorded his death as his camera documented the fall. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the inherent risks associated with extreme aerial activities.
