Solving a Rubik’s cube is indeed a daunting task. Concentration and patience are the key elements that can help a person succeed in the venture. According to the Guinness Book Of World Records (GWR), Yiheng Wang from China made history for the fastest average time for a human to solve a 3x3x3 puzzle cube. In just 4.48 seconds, Yiheng Wang solved the cube. But can a robot beat a human in the game? Seems like the answer is a yes. An engineering company in Japan has etched its name in the GWR after integrating a rotating puzzle cube within less than a second.
The extraordinary feat was carried out by a group of engineers at the Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. The robot, engineered by the organisation solved the puzzle within 0.305 seconds, setting the benchmark. The event was held in Tokyo on May 21. In a blink-and-you-miss-it video dropped by Guinness World Records on social media, the technologically advanced machine was seen solving the standard 3x3x3 puzzle cube at lightning speed. The engineering team clapped in joy upon achieving the commendable act. “New record: Fastest robot to solve a rotating puzzle cube – 0.305 seconds. Mitsubishi Electric Corporation knocked 0.07 seconds off the previous record,” read the note.

A flurry of reactions flooded the comment section. “Rubik Cube Solved Before I Blinked My Eye,” revealed one impressed user. “It would be better to create a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS (Robots Edition),” suggested another. “That is genuinely insane how fast that is,” pointed out a third individual.
Tokui, the leader of the applaud-worthy record works at the Motor & Generator Manufacturing Engineering Department, claims GWR. As a motor developer, he was well-versed in the high-quality products used at the company which were also utilised in the manufacture of any equipment. He wanted to display the power of the machines to entertain and shock the people. “I checked the videos of the previous record holder, and I felt that the motor we have is better than theirs. So I was confident that we can beat them with speed,” he stated.
Although the puzzle was jammed up on the first attempt, the second try was a triumph. The robot clocked in a time, delivering the much-anticipated results, setting the Record title.
