'Breathalyser Brownies': Assam Police Have a Delicious Buffet on New Year's Eve But With a Twist
Assam Police are hosting a special buffet just for the traffic violators on the New Year's Eve.

Don’t have a company on the New Year’s Eve? Assam Police have got you covered. Because believe it or not, the cops from Assam want you to dine with them with a hearty meal and they just revealed their quirky and curated menu just for you. You are looking for a catch here, aren’t you?

Assam Police’s generous offer is, of course, not a real one. But a stern warning against drunken and rash driving on the New Year’s Eve to curb dangerous traffic violations.

“Rule Breaker Buffet- A special feast for drunk drivers and traffic violators,” Assam Police captioned their hilarious menu on Instagram. “Drive Safe or Dine With Us,” being their fitting hashtag accompanying the post.

Their main course includes a Cuff & Cab combo – a delightful assortment of finger foods to keep you safe on the road. Then there is a S.W.A.T Sandwich that comes with seatbelt. Then there is platter called ‘Momo Monitoring Platter’. They are looking out for you in every possible way.

We have desserts too, one being – Custur-dy – which, as the hilarious pun suggests, has something to do with the cuffs for the traffic violators.

A couple of years ago, a similar social media awareness post by Assam Police had gone viral.

Using New Year’s Eve internet buzz words, the official handle of the Assam police shared a banner that “If your New Year’s Eve plans include drunk and/or rash driving, this invitation is for you. P.S – Stag Entry Allowed.”

The same was quote tweeted by Special DGP (Assam) GP Singh, who said, “Don’t drive if you are drunk. @assampolice would be firm [people do not like the term ruthless] (SIC)”.

New Year celebrations see a lot of deaths due to drunk driving as people adopt a negligent attitude towards the safety norms.

Following the trend, Delhi Police brought their own twist to spreading awareness around the safety of citizens on New Year’s Eve, this time taking the movie route.
