Fans are buzzing with excitement as the concerts are set for January 18 and 19 at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. As ticket sales open on September 22, fans are eager to secure the best seats to experience Coldplay’s magic live. With the DY Patil Stadium hosting 50,000 attendees, a viral ChatGPT analysis shared on X suggests that scoring a ticket might be more challenging than expected. The competition will be fierce, with an estimated 1,50,000 people expected to show interest in the tickets on BookMyShow. According to the analysis shared by a marketing executive, the chances of getting a ticket are 1 in 3, but various factors could further complicate the chances.

The woman behind the now-viral post explained that she gave ChatGPT some basic numbers to help with the calculations. As per the calculation, if there are 1,50,000 interested fans and only 50,000 seats, the basic odds are about 1 in 3.

ChatGPT suggested that many people might not show interest but will still try to buy tickets. By adding an extra 30,000 people, the total number of interested fans would rise to 1,80,000, making the chances of purchasing Coldplay, 1 in 3.6.

Meanwhile, some may use multiple devices or accounts to book tickets and some tickets are usually reserved for sponsors and VIPs, leaving only 45,000 seats available. With these adjustments, the total number of interested fans becomes 1,98,000 and the final odds of getting a ticket are roughly 1 in 4.4.

According to the final number, the AI tool suggested, “Your chances of getting a ticket are approximately 1 in 4.4 or about 22.7%. The odds will become slimmer as the number of interested people rises. Keep in mind that last-minute scalpers and ticket agencies could impact availability.”

Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “You probably missed out on the assumption that some users cannot afford the VIP or premium tickets, which means more people will be vying for the general tickets, making the odds of securing one much tougher.”

Another shared, “People who expressed interest will probably try to buy max amount of tickets, this is something they have learnt via the Diljit & Dua Lipa saga.”
