Social media is flooded with videos of wild animals, some of which are adorable, while others are fierce. These wild animals are often seen establishing their dominance in the jungle by attacking their prey. One such video has gone viral, where a lion can be seen hunting down a wildebeest. The clip was recorded by a safari guide at the Maswa Game Reserve in Tanzania. It highlights the extraordinary skills of the lion and has garnered a lot of views on the internet.

A safari guide named Manja Kema at the Maswa Game Reserve in Tanzania recorded the nail-biting video of a lion passing by its prey just a few moments before launching a brutal attack. In the clip, a wildebeest, often referred to as a gnu, can be seen spending its time alone amid the long grasses of the jungle. These wildebeests are the antelopes of the genus Connochaetes and are common in the jungles of Eastern and Southern Africa.

In the video, the lion can be seen in close proximity to the gnu but remains unaware of its existence. After quite a while, it feels the presence of the wildebeest who was not making enough movements. The very next moment, the lion pounced on its prey and was eventually joined by its brother for the meal.

The clip was uploaded on a popular YouTube channel, Latest Sightings. After watching the video, many people went to the comment section to share their views on the lion’s kill. One of the users wrote, “The lion didn’t know where he was until he moved and made noise." Another user jokingly commented, “Lion was like, I can smell the food but where is it uh there it is."

So far, the video has received 29,000 views on YouTube.
