People often talk about developing primary schools by the CBSE curriculum, but a headmaster has reportedly actually made it happen. To introduce the CBSE-like model, he introduced smart classrooms and also built a special place called a mathematics garden. It is often said that teachers can change a student’s life and this man is the perfect example of it. For his tireless to build a perfect school with world-class facilities, President Draupadi Murmu will honour him on September 5, on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
The headmaster of the Bhagesar Primary School in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh has been reportedly selected for the National Teachers’ Awards 2024. Headmaster Ravikant Dwivedi has implemented new methods to make education more engaging for the students. With the support of some locals, he first turned the school into a smart school and then built a mathematics garden to teach mathematics funnily. He was selected for this prestigious award for his dedication to the betterment of the school.
The government announced the names of 50 teachers from across the country who will be awarded by the president of the country. Ravikant Dwivedi is reportedly among those teachers. He will receive the award at a ceremony that will be held in New Delhi. According to reports, he was nominated for the awards last year also, but failed to make to final round of selection. Ravikant was awarded with the State Teachers’ Award in 2021.
In an interview with Local 18, Ravikant shared that he along with other teachers put in every possible effort to provide the children with better education opportunities and a proper environment to study. He said, “With support from the government and community contributions, the school was transformed into a smart school. As the school became smarter, so did the students. I am extremely happy to have been selected for the National Teacher’s Award. It is a joy that cannot be expressed in words.”
