Picture Of Eight Pairs Of Twin Students At This Mizoram School Viral

Having twin students in school is not a new thing, but having eight pairs of twins in the same school is somewhat shocking. In a similar coincidence, the Government Model English Medium Primary School in Aizawl, Mizoram is drawing the attention of the public in an amazing instance of genetic coincidence after a picture of eight pairs of twins went viral on social media.

The remarkable similarity among the twins, both in appearance and behaviour has left the teachers and principals puzzled. Many times, one child gets punished for not doing his homework because of the other.

According to reports, a female teacher recently became confused when she found that two children who looked alike were standing in front of her and presenting their homework at the same time. This confusion did not happen only with this teacher but the entire staff of the school is struggling with the same problem.

Headmaster Lalventluanga, who is also a father of twins attending the school, found that not just one pair but eight pairs of twins are studying in this government school, and seven of these pairs are even siblings.

Lalventluanga discovered that out of the 200 students, eight pairs of twins are enrolled in the same school. The most important thing is that the admission of these children has not been done under any planning. It is just a coincidence that all the children were admitted here together. The school is located in a Christian-dominated area and has a good reputation.

Lalventluanga said, “The teachers were having a discussion this morning, and much to our delight, we realised that we are having eight pairs of twins studying in various classes. Last year too, we had four pairs.” “Identical twins are a source of fascination, and in our case, we were ‘attracting’ twins without any deliberate effort. We all are jubilant,” he added.

The school has garnered attention on social media platform X, with a viral photo by the account named @mizoraminsta along with the caption, “Out of two hundred pupils, eight pairs of twin siblings attend Gov’t. College Veng Primary School in Aizawl. It is uncommon to locate this in another institution.”

Interestingly, a similar situation also occurred at The School Arena in Udaipur, Rajasthan, where 14 pairs of twins are studying. According to school director Lokesh Jain, all the children had been admitted together. This is the first time that such a large group of twins and one triplet are studying together at the same school.
